Prime Minister meets the First Vice President of Cuba

The Prime Minister recalled the close and multifaceted relations between the two countries that have been developed during the tenure of President Fidel Castro and nurtured by the successive generation of leadership. Prime Minister expressed support for greater cooperation, including in the areas of trade and investment, health, biotechnology, renewable energy, sports and human resource development between the two countries.

Jamal Benomar, the Secretary-General’s Special Adviser on Yemen, briefed the Security Council by videoconference during its emergency session yesterday afternoon on the crisis in that country.
